One of the most famous European tourist destinations is Triglav Park. Triglav National Park is 5 hours away from Bratislava and is one of the oldest parks in Europe. In the park, you can do both easy and difficult hiking. There is a fee for visiting the national park: €9 for adults, €5 for students and 1-3€ for children. The Slovenian river Soča, flowing through the park, is one of the most beautiful in Europe. The emerald green river, surrounded by mountains and hiking trails, offers many sports activities and recreational activities. Lake Bled is one of the warmest alpine lakes and allows swimming throughout the summer until September. The biggest and most photographed attraction of Slovenian Bled is the church, which is right on the lake. You can get to it by boat, in summer it is also possible to swim to it, and in winter, when the lake is frozen enough, you can walk to it. There is also a castle above the lake. Even if you are not a high-altitude hiker, you can go on a simple hike, even with children, to the Adršpašské skál in the neighboring Czech Republic, 5 hours away. On the way, we recommend that you definitely make a stop in Brno and the Moravian Karst. After only an hour and a half journey from Bratislava, you will arrive in Brno, the world-class Moravian metropolis. In the center they are certainly the biggest dominants Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul on Petrov Hill and Špilberk Castle . From the Moravian Karst, you can reach Adrpašské skále in about 3 and a half hours. Adršpašsko-Teplice rocks are the largest and wildest rock city in Central Europe. Here you will find a 3.5 km long hiking circuit. The hike is not too physically demanding and is therefore also suitable for families with small children. Another attraction of the rock city is the Great Waterfall, which falls into the rock gorges from a height of 16 meters. When visiting the Adršpašské skály, you should definitely not miss a boat ride along the romantic lake between the rocks.
Neighboring Austria offers many tourist possibilities. They also include a nature reserve 130 km away High Wand, near Vienna, which is a paradise for tourists, families with children and all nature lovers who want new experiences. You can easily reach a height of approx. 1000 meters above sea level by car along the mountain road. There is also a rocky path, a beautiful lookout tower or the Skywalk viewing terrace, which is located 150 m high above the valley and will delight all lovers of heights and views. Hohe Wand is also the name of a table limestone mountain that offers maximum tourist enjoyment. If you want to try ferratas around Bratislava, you won't find anything better. There are a number of easy, moderate and difficult trails.

Austrian Grand Canyon Ötscher , will delight you with fantastic views and the wonderful fauna and flora of the Ötscher-Tormäuer nature reserve. With an area of 170 km2, the nature reserve is even larger than Liechtenstein. Most tourists in this area head to the Schutzhaus Vorderötscher. The road there leads past the Stierwaschboden power plant, then through the impressive Ötschergräben gorges to the Mirafälle and Schleierwasserfälle waterfalls. The Őtschergraben gorge is not only one of the most beautiful Austrian gorges, but also boasts the attributes of the longest, narrowest and at the same time the deepest gorge in Austria. You can reach Ötscher by car from Hohe Wand in less than 2 and a half hours, and from Bratislava in approximately 3 hours.
100 km further, not far from the Austrian village of Mixnitz, there is Medvedia roklina - Bärenschützklamm . This wonderful natural creation is declared a protected natural monument. A trip through this gorge is intended for all age groups, it is safe and usually ends in the small pub U dobreho pastiera, which is located at an altitude of 1209 meters above sea level. There are 49 wooden ladders, 115 wooden bridges and footbridges leading through the gorge with a total of an incredible 2900 steps and that at a distance of only 1400 meters. Look forward to 24 waterfalls, one of which is 50 m high, countless cascades, bizarre rock formations, caves and one rock dome. All around you can enjoy water, mosses, stones or limestone rocks and enjoy the roar of the waterfall.
